Anxiety grows throughout the day

I wake up feeling relieved that I have not developed symptoms overnight.....then at 2pm I'm looking for the death figures, then at 5 watch the briefing......by dinner time I am extremely anxious which has physical symptoms. Not sleeping well at all, then the cycle starts all over again.

Does anyone else have this? Is there anything I can do?

I wish the briefing was not at 5. Its like a ritual. Maybe don't watch it. I found it better when I checked news once in the morning over breakfast for ten mins then got on with day.

Yes I feel better in the mornings too. I think a way to cope is to watch something unrelated, a film or series, or read a book but then it's hard to not watch the news because you want to stay informed about the situation as well

I’m exactly the same. Might have a nice day with DS and feel relatively positive but then can’t resist checking the news as the afternoon goes on and just end up really anxious by bedtime. I have blocked the Daily Mail on my phone though so can’t easily check that anymore - which is one positive move I’ve made as found that site was really causing me stress and anxiety.

I’ve stopped watching. I have a quick catch up online and that’s it. I was getting so agitated, but am quite a bit better for not watching.
