Any supermarkets allowing pregnant women in during the 'special' hour?

Conscious of the government's classification of vulnerable (n.b. not claiming to be extremely vulnerable) and trying the minimise contact, I'm wondering if pregnant women are allowed to use the 'elderly and vulnerable' hours? I don't want to get it wrong, and I don't want to queue for an hour if I'm not allowed in as neither my back nor bladder would cope with that! Anyone pregnant been able to shop then?

With supermarkets only letting so many people in at a time there are probably better times for you to do your shopping at the moment. I would assume the first hour there would be a longer queue?

That's a good point, thank you. I've managed not to have to go to a big shop for almost two weeks, and all I keep seeing on local Facebook pages is reports of mayhem in stores, so I'm a bit nervous.

DS works for a supermarket. He says go about 1830. Dont go with the older folks. They are slower, they go in pairs and they tend to use the visit to catch up with their friends. The staff are trying to move them on but one women said she felt she had to come EVERY day as it was just for her wasnt it!

There are better times to go than the 'special' hour and dont go straight after it either. Older people are still in there!

Interesting... I'm reading all this and think I may just have to go tonight! Thank you

All the supermarkets round here are including pregnant women in that hour. My local Tesco is also bumping visibly pregnant women to the front of the queue at other times too.

My local supermarket has stopped the vulnerable hour. They only have an NHS hour.

Thanks everyone - all good to know for next time. I went this evening and it wasn't too bad. The staff member manning the door & queue said they'd been really busy late afternoon so the fruit and veg section was decimated, but fortunately I didn't need anything from there. Job done.
