My wisdom tooth was too decayed to have a filling so was on waiting list to have it removed. This was months ago and still waiting for appt. gradually pieces broke off and now only the root remains which is slowly decaying I had an appt a couple of weeks ago which was cancelled due to the virus.
I’m not in pain bar the odd twinge every couple of days. Is this something I need to get looked at ASAP or can I just leave it while it’s not hurting?

If you call your dentist they will be able to tell you.

I’ve got same problem. When it hurts it really hurts but is not a constant ache. Just scared of getting an infection so using loads of corsodyl mouthwash.

I had an infected wisdom tooth and called my dentist. He diagnosed the problem over the phone and said they are not currently able to do drilling or extractions, but he did very kindly tape a box of antibiotics to the surgery door so I could pick it up. If you call your dentist I'm sure they will be able to advise you. Good luck and hope it puts your mind at rest.
