14th Feb I went down with a bug. First a week of stomach ache, then a week of stomach ache and horrendous conjunctivitis (never had that before, hope I never do again!). Just as my eyes cleared up the throat tickle started. It drove me nuts just feeling tickly for a couple of days and then turned into a dry cough, which lasted another couple of weeks. It's really rare for me to get a dry cough. I have a pants immune system and get a few coughs a year but they're pretty much always gross gunky ones. This one stayed dry throughout. It certainly met the criteria of 'persistent' and it was hard to sleep as it was worse lying down. I didn't have a 'proper' temperate at all but a night or 2 of feeling slightly feverish and during the coughing phase mild hot flushes (without any particular cause, not going through menopause or anything). I can't remember where they featured in all this but I had a couple of headaches too, not bad ones though.
No body aches and pains that I remember, not more than usual anyway. No tightness in the chest, no diarrhoea, no trouble breathing, no sore throat (just irritatingly tickly at first). I live in the south west with very few confirmed cases/deaths
I'm totally on the fence, one minute leaning towards 'I bet it was!' and the next minute 'Don't be daft, you know it wasn't'. I realise of course the symptoms can vary widely, and nobody on here can tell me one way or another if what I had was the new coronvirus. I just wondered if anyone else who's had it can relate to a long period of feeling moderately unwell with the symptoms changing as mine did, rather than the classic progression. To anyone who's had it (confirmed) - did you have stomach ache and conjunctivitis too or no? Anyone else had random hot flushes rather than a full fever?
