I was going this would be a thread for those who’ve given up vacuuming.

Oh not interested, I think I can figure that out for myself and those programs just make me feel bad I'm not constantly wiping and sanitising - but my house is getting cleaner. My daughter did the kitchen cupboards and I did the fridge today. One room at a time. House might actually be decluttered and presentable by the time this is over.

There seems to be a big divide on social media between single and people with no children (unusually clean house) and people with toddlers (house in desperate state). My retired relatives keep sending me emails about how clean their houses are and how amazing their gardens are going to be. Two small children in the house 24/7 are not conducive to creating a show home look as it turns out. On the plus side, my 3 year old’s vocabulary has come on no end. She now tells her slyvanian families that their house is a disgrace, bombsite or cesspit depending on her mood. I am definitely paying for someone to do a deep clean when this is all over.
