Can you swap round furloughed staff?

Say you have six staff in a specific role. Due to the lockdown, the work has dried up and realistically, would fill the days of 3 staff.

Rather than furlough 3 for the foreseeable, is it possible to put 3 on furlough for 3 weeks (the min), then swap, then swap again etc til the restrictions lift?

Yes. As long as the three week minimum is met you can repeatedly furlough staff, so that sounds theoretically fine.

As far as I'm aware yes, I believe this is what my son's nursery are doing and rotating the staff that are coming in every 3 weeks
