I know there is a longer than usual wait for new claims to be processed, but I applied for UC the week of 16th March (online) and received an email saying Jobcentre would telephone me the following week and not to telephone them.
I haven't heard from them since and am wondering what to do. I have enough savings to keep me for 6 weeks or so, so am not desperate for an emergency payout or anything like that.
(Apologies if this is a stupid question but I have never applied for benefits before!)
