Self Isolating - how to help

I am SI as DH is mid 70s and has diabetes. In the last 3 weeks I have been out for a walk 3 times in a quiet area and had to do one click and collect order as no deliveries available.

I wish I could do something to help but it is difficult as I can't go out and risk bringing infection home. I know the suggestion is usually do the phone calls to check on lonely people but my hearing isn't very good, I was thinking of booking to get hearing aids when we went into lockdown, so I would probably annoy people as I would keep asking them to repeat what they said, family put up with it but strangers wouldn't understand.

The only thing I have come up with, and started today, is to get my 2019/2020 tax return sorted. I'm all ready to go and just waiting for my P60 from pension and then will submit it and pay it now instead of next January. I figure cash flow for the govt is mainly going out at the moment and they have given businesses extensions. I know my payment won't save them, probably be about £1k and a bit, but every little helps?

Any ideas of how to help?

I have also made some donations and intend to send money to foodbank as I can't drop things in the collection boxes now.
