Furlough pay

I have been furloughed for the past 2 weeks. They've worked out my average pay which is good but I have some concerns.
I have an attachment of earnings, will this come out of any payment? Or tax and insurance? What about pension?

Also my manager doesn't seem to know when we will receive our first payment. I'm really concerned as like all of us I have bills to pay.

I signed the contact when I was last in work but I can't remember what any of it says (stupid I know)

Depends what your AOE is for - if it's council tax, they are putting off collection on backdated payments until June (as it currently stands).
Govt will cover employers pension contributions but not clear on employees yet.
It will be subject to tax and NIC

Yes it's council tax. Completely my fault.

I'm just panicking because I have no idea how much or when it'll actually be paid. I've got 3 children to feed and clothe.

Thank you 😊

I'm furloughed too since 1st April and my employer said all usual deductions are taken and payday stays the same.

Are you monthly pay or weekly? Do you have a HR manager you can contact? You have to agree to furlough terms in writing - did you get anything sent over before you were furloughed?

lifeonaloop · 07/04/2020 02:52

@Snoooozzze no my line manager is off on holiday and nobody is answering the phones.

I get paid monthly and we were all called into work for a one to one which basically just went on about the damage to the company if this continues

Employers still have no clear guidance on furlough and when they will get the money to cover the payments.

I m on furlough and have been advised that my pension contributions will remain as a % of salary but I can request to suspend them so neither I or the employer pays any contributions during furlough
