My DH has slowly started to appear more and more down in the dumps while being in lockdown. He is vulnerable so has been off work for a month now. We’re teachers and he was due to start a new job after the Easter hols but he can’t go in because he’s vulnerable. He’s tried to start a new woodworking hobby but every project he wants to do he needs a new tool £100+ and the. He gets fed up because we can’t really afford that.

I need some advise how to perk him up, or manly hobbies that I can suggest.

could he try learning to play the guitar? there are some used ones going on ebay here for £12, and there are tutorials on youtube. He could also learn a foreign language, adopt a grandparent (skype an elderly person living in a care home or write letters to them to help combat loneliness )

all the best x

I sympathise. How about writing? Or he could take some of the free courses online to learn about SEO and Ecommerce.
