What time do the next day's Asda slots go live?

Asda is doing a great and sensible job of only releasing slots one day at a time, one week away. (Unlike Waitrose who have released all their slots up until 8 July, all of which are now full Hmm)

Question is - what time do Asda release the next day's slots? It isn't midnight...

Its 10pm, well it is for my area.

Missmummy88 · 06/04/2020 14:39

Does anyone know what time Tesco release?

Fraggle45 · 06/04/2020 14:42

Tesco is midnight but they have a queue so I'd load the page around 11.30

LoisLittsLover · 06/04/2020 14:43

Yup, our asda ones went on at 10pm last night (although none are available to book, guessing because it's a bank holiday on Monday)

AlmostThereKeepMoving · 06/04/2020 15:44

Great think you, I was clearly too hours too late last night then!

I hope you all are either disabled, vulnerable, been advised to shield or otherwise unable to physically go to the shops themselves. Healthy people should NOT be taking slots away from those who need them most!

Anyone know about sainsburys? Asking for elderly parents

Knocksomesense · 06/04/2020 15:53

I've been trying to get a slot with asda for my mother and father in law. And also for ourselves as we are combining our order with our elderly neighbour. No luck yet

steppemum · 06/04/2020 15:55

hmm, last week asda was midnight on monday for tuesday slots.

Wakeupsunshine · 06/04/2020 15:56

I managed to get a random slot the other day and had been trying for weeks. Must have been a cancellation.

Wakeupsunshine · 06/04/2020 15:57

That was daytime so worth checking any old time.

Hi Grey, thank you so much for your kind message. Would you like to see my letter from the NHS? Would you like to see my mother's? Let me know which email would be best for me to send them too. Congratulations on your promotion to thread police!

I am shopping for 3 other houses other than mine, and picking some stuff eg prescriptions up for another house.

I am also working full time wfh, and have 3 teens at home, and have been trying to home school.

It takes me about 2 hours to put the order in, once i have taken all 4 shoppign lists into account, and worked out how to get eveyroen bananas when the limit is 3.
Then I ahve ot go bakc to all people and ask if they wnat anything else if something is unavailable, and go on and redo the list.

The site is VERY slow, so I regularly sit in a queue.

When it arrives I have ot split it inot 4, and drive round and deliver, including a 30 minute drive ot my parents.
On the way I go to Lidl and try and fill the gaps which didn't arrive in the order.

It takes hours.
So, no, I am not going to apologise for having a delivery slot.

Gradually those households are managing to get click and collect or (but at the moment only for 1 or 2 weeks from now). When they all have another option I will switch to click and collect. (and I will be picking up their click and collect slots, so that is 4 trips to the shop for me, instead of home delivery)

Congratulations on your promotion to thread police!

Happy to help and glad to here people are being respectful of those who need the slots most Grin

I was able to book an Iceland delivery around 11.30 this morning, for tomorrow. Asda seem to release some delivery and click and collect slots around 10am. A couple of days ago I was able to book a sainsburys click and collect mid afternoon. Sainsburys have click and collect available in my area right now, just for saturday, so they may have elsewhere too.

rookiemere · 06/04/2020 19:26

I randomly managed to get a slot from Tescos for my elderly parents by refreshing the site every couple of hours - I've been trying ever since to get one for the following fortnight with no joy. Thankfully they managed to get a Morrisons one - they are in their 80s with health conditions and have been staying up to midnight to try to secure a slot.

Missmummy88 · 06/04/2020 21:01

Yes I am pregnant and my partner disabled. I have two children under 8 and my parents over 70. We have to rely on delivery.

H1978 · 06/04/2020 21:04

Loads of click and collect on my app for this week if anyone wants to check for their area
