Is it likely we’ll still hear about reception school places for September on the 16th do you think?

Wondering if the relevant people in each local authority are still working or if it will vary from area to area?

Hi OP. My LA is still working and is working to the national offer date.

Quite a number of council functions are working as normal because they can be done mainly by staff working from home. This may well apply, as so much of the 'backroom' for this is entirely computer based and so can be done by online working.

I've not yet heard of a postponement, but it is meant to be a National date, so if any councils are struggling I suppose postponement might yet become necessary.

What is more likely to be affected is telephone enquiries after allocation, and how appeals will be run.

Yes my understanding is offer day will be largely unaffected (though letters may take longer to get through) but appeals are a different matter.

Good to hear we should still find out next week, thank you!

Will be one less thing to worry about, hopefully, once I know. Thanks
