Have to take dc to hospital - what preventative measures can I do??

So dc hurt himself yesterday evening, potential broken bone. Went to our minor injuries who said possible break or ligament issues but of course didn’t know just by looking and said needed X-ray but agreed with me (ds is asthmatic) best to avoid a&e. We have to go back today when X-ray dept is open and I’m scared! Myself and dc have been at home for 3 weeks to protect them, being asthmatic. I’m now scared l my hard work will be undone and one of us will catch it from there. It’s w community hospital but quite big......

So what preventative measures can I do please? This is sending my anxiety over the edge.

They check temperatures before we enter minor injuries and send us to wash our hands.... the staff only had masks on when examining ds.....

So I will remind him not to touch anything where possible ( actually also have gloves so will wear them) of course will be disposed of properly and will anti bac our hands on leaving.....car in will wipe down but it won’t be driven again until after the lockdown so not as worried about that.

When we get in shows off, cloths off and into wash.... what about our hair? Iv heard you need to wash your hair again? I can re do mine but he won’t let me wash his I know (has SN) plus won’t be able to get him in shower with his injury. What else can I do please? We don’t have masks...

@Wonderingwhyme

Oh no! Title should be what can I do!

We've edited the title now, as requested.

Hope the hospital appointment goes smoothly and swiftly this morning. Flowers
