Kids playing outside

I have 2 DC's who are 5 and 8.

The three of us haven't been out at all, apart from the odd walk around the block for exercise & to spot rainbows on windows.

We live on a quiet cul de sac, there's maybe 12 houses. We have a very small garden and the kids love riding their bikes. I've been letting them play on the drive with their skateboards etc, and let them ride their bikes up and down the road as long as I can keep an eye on them.

I'm starting to doubt myself because of all the reports of people selfishly going to the park and sunbathing, etc.

Do you think this is unreasonable? I don't want anyone to think I'm not being careful or adhering to the rules.

There's rarely anyone around apart from the occasional neighbour who comes out to do their front garden etc. I tell them over and over that they mustn't go near anyone at all should someone appear.

Please be gentle if you think this is wrong, am feeling very anxious and fragile at the moment 🙁

You sound like a good Mum. Please be kind to yourself.

This is fine. Unless neighbours kids are also doing this and there is a risk they will start playing with each other, don’t worry.

Sounds completely fine.
I have seen siblings in my street out riding bikes.
