Neighbours having a very loud party

Realitea · 05/04/2020 22:29

I live in a rural spot, only a few houses here. The other one doesn’t have a view of our neighbours but we are sort of below them so the end of our garden slopes up to theirs.
First I heard loud music but then I heard quite a lot of people singing along. Dh went to have a look and there’s about five adults and loads of kids running around!
What the actual f**k!

The owner of the house is a very ‘high up’ doctor Shock
They’ll know it’s us if I report as we are the only ones who would know. Confused

Keep your nose out ffs. Live and let live.
Honestly it's like George Orwells 1984. Who needs the police when we will all grass each other up for the slightest thing. Get a grip.

thesedaysarescary · 05/04/2020 22:47

Report anyway! Seriously shocked that a dr would be flouting the rules at this time.

FiveFootTwoEyesOfBlue · 05/04/2020 22:51

People like this who have parties at home are at much higher risk of spreading the virus than people walking along a seafront IMO. It's prolonged contact with people within 2 metres. However, you're in a tricky situation if they would know it was you reporting them.

overnightangel · 05/04/2020 22:52

Are you 12 and think you’re still at school, @Dustyroad63 and scared you’ll get called a grass?
Pathetic.
OP I’d call 101

MsTSwift · 05/04/2020 22:52

Odd. The doctors I know are most paranoid of all and won’t even get takeaways

crazycatgal · 05/04/2020 22:53

Yeah @Dustyroad63 who gives a fuck if people are risking spreading the virus which will kill people. Hmm

justasking111 · 05/04/2020 22:57

I read about that family in USA who had a family party, five of them died. I would want to report them to be honest.

NameChangedToProtect1 · 05/04/2020 23:06

Stop curtain twitching and focus on your own life!

overnightangel · 05/04/2020 23:19

@NameChangedToProtect1
She is focussing on her own life: her immediate neighbours are ignoring the rules brought in to protect everyone and having other people over who could be spreading the virus.
Meanwhile you’re posting on a thread with nothing to add and making yourself look at best thick and at worst like a selfish fool.
So who’s the curtain twitcher?

chipsandgin · 05/04/2020 23:21

Fuck me, I’m not a fan of authority or playing by the rules on the whole - but this is different, it’s not about being a ‘curtain twitcher’ or a grass - it’s about not being a selfish dick and doing something that literally kills innocent people by exponentially spreading a deadly virus because you are too stupid or think you are special enough that the rules don’t apply to you. Put simply - people will die who could have lived because of selfish cunts like them.

If someone were burying a body in their garden, or running a paedophile ring, maybe human trafficking or loudly abusing their spouse then presumably all of you who think OP should keep her nose out or stop curtain twitching would just leave them to it?

Or perhaps the fuckwits who have no sense of social or moral responsibility need intervention & this is a prime example?

HairyFloppins · 05/04/2020 23:26

Report them. Selfish arseholes.

Devlesko · 05/04/2020 23:29

There was a family in Italy who nearly all tested positive after a family get together, right at the beginning, 4 died.

Report them because they could kill somebody, or you could live and let die.

MrsChoc · 05/04/2020 23:30

I’d report them, selfish idiots.

HairyFloppins · 05/04/2020 23:34

Also from reading this thread, why are people still not getting it?

This is viral Pneumonia with a high mortality rate. What is wrong with you?

MrsDrudge · 05/04/2020 23:34

Report them. End of. They are a risk to life and to everyone ‘s health.

ShanghaiDiva · 05/04/2020 23:42

This beggars belief.
Do people not watch the news?

Frownette · 05/04/2020 23:56

Ok, so - OP started thread then promptly disappeared.

thewinkingprawn · 06/04/2020 00:01

Really? A senior doctor is having a party. 🤔

UYScuti · 06/04/2020 00:18

I suspect family get-togethers are some of the risky situations because people who are related tend to have similar immune systems and therefore if one is susceptible is likely that they all will be 😬

Realitea · 06/04/2020 08:35

Sorry I went to bed. I’m still around. I just felt really upset about it as we’ve been in for three weeks now and have only been out once to get food and even then I was terrified.
Then it’s sort of rubbing it in our face that others are not following the rules.
