"as a precaution"

hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Magissa · 05/04/2020 21:24

I feel sorry for anyone who is suffering from this awful virus. I have no time for his politics but I wish him well.

Autumnwindinthewillows · 05/04/2020 21:24

Not good. Hope he's ok

PerfidiousAlbion · 05/04/2020 21:24

Source?

BulbTherapy · 05/04/2020 21:24

Could you elaborate or post a link please?

Bluntness100 · 05/04/2020 21:24

Sadly I think you either get better after a week, or you get the second wave of it and get worse, so I’m not sure this is a surprised, since he announced he still had symptoms. I hope he’s going to be ok.

Hopefully it is just tests, Ie he might have pneumonia or something and they wish to test to see exactly so they can treat it,

Not a fan of him at all but thought he looked awful in the last couple of days pics.

It’s all over every news channel fgs, Confused

JoeExotic · 05/04/2020 21:25

I hope everyone in his position gets well soon, I pray for all of their families equally - it must be awful.

PerfidiousAlbion · 05/04/2020 21:26

Reuters has it.

OatMilkAddict · 05/04/2020 21:29

....And the BBC

Mooey89 · 05/04/2020 21:29

Hope he improves soon

Yes, it very much seems that way. I do hope he recovers.

BulbTherapy · 05/04/2020 21:37

I don't have a TV. And given that it only appeared online about 3 minutes ago, you'll have to forgive me for not knowing about it a split second after it was announced on here, fgs.

SeriouslyRetro · 05/04/2020 21:39

It’s worrying. What is the protocol for who runs the country if the pm is incapacitated?

eurochick · 05/04/2020 21:50

It's that idiot Raab.

Irial · 05/04/2020 22:08

I'm not his biggest fan, but this is awful for everyone

So - worst case, he dies, what happens? Someone else steps up - the Deputy PM... oh we dont have one of those?

Who is the Deputy Prime Minister of the UK?
Like many Prime Ministers, Johnson appears to have decided against appointing a deputy.

However, Dominic Raab is the highest ranking Cabinet minister.

(based on a google search)

so what does this mean?

LimescaleCowboy · 05/04/2020 22:13

Robert Peston on ITV News saying Raab will take over as and when Johnson cannot run the Government.

Raab is not an intelligent person of the calibre currently required.

Voice0fReason · 05/04/2020 22:24

I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I really feel for his girlfriend, she must be so worried.

Minesacider · 05/04/2020 22:32

I'm not a fan of his, but like (I'm sure) the vast majority of people, dont wish him ill. Hopefully this is his doctor being cautious, and he makes a recovery soon.

Thisismytimetoshine · 05/04/2020 22:34

What “thoughts” are you hoping for, op? What a very strange op.
