Should I wash the dog?

So our dog has been with a family member since before lockdown as we have been working long long hours (retail).
Family member has been called in to work now (return to nursing situation) so we need to have the dog back.
She’ll just call us when outside and let the dog run up the driveway to us so good social distancing.
Random question, but do I need to wash the dog when she gets back? Worried she’ll be carrying the virus on her fur.

I wouldn't bother.

No I wouldn’t bother. I think that concern was discounted as a credible risk a while ago.

At the most you could give it a good rub with a wet flannel if it made you feel better. But not a whole wash.

Ah. Opposite to the answers I thought I would get. I’ll put leads and bed in the wash straight away.
