I don't want to go out to city centre but we're a large family running out of toiletries and getting bits from the corner shop is costing me a fortune and surely one big trip is better than many small ones?

I've tried to get online delivery but nothings in stock.

We need allsorts

Argh

Yes some are, not all. You’ll have to check the website for your local one. You can do click and collect to make it a quicker trip.

Supersimkin2 · 05/04/2020 20:25

Yes

nellythenarwhal · 05/04/2020 20:26

Yes. Especially if they have a pharmacy

H1978 · 05/04/2020 20:26

Wilkos are open if you need toiletries

Makeitgoaway · 05/04/2020 20:27

Ours is and it was lovely. I bought paracetamol, toothpaste and something for athletes foot and was in and out in 5min.

OnlyJudyCanJudgeMe · 05/04/2020 20:27

Why can’t you go to a supermarket?
I don’t think they are open unless they have a pharmacy.

MrsRedFly · 05/04/2020 20:28

My local on is open with limited hours/days
Also boots open too

OnlyJudyCanJudgeMe · 05/04/2020 20:28

Sorry...that sounded snidey. I mean, why not go to a supermarket?
My apologies.

Makeitgoaway · 05/04/2020 20:31

I went to Superdrug to avoid the Supermarket. I'm getting fruit/veg, eggs and dairy by way of a veg box delivery, meat delivered by a local butcher. If I can get toiletries and household things from Superdrug, I can avoid the supermarkets

NorahsBatty · 05/04/2020 20:33

Because I get food from online deliveries but every toiletry item has been unavailable without substitutions.

And I get cheap stuff. Superdrug do cheap versions that supermarkets are sold out of

Our local one is open, but I noticed they have a "bouncer" on the door, and they don't have self-service tills, so I don't know if they are policing purchases like Boots. But hopefully you'd be allowed to buy what you need.

The80sweregreat · 05/04/2020 20:34

Yes, my local town's one is open.

notthemum · 05/04/2020 20:59

Savers is open. They do decent shower gels & haircare some of it for less than a quid each. My local one is selling big packs of loo roll lately too.
