Government diverting blame

Just heard Matt Hancock on the radio saying lockdown will last longer if we don’t ‘behave’

Is no one else thinking that the blame seems to have been put heavily on the public in all of this? We are being made to feel responsible for this catastrophe with little consideration being given to our government’s dealings in all of this ie dilapidated NHS, failure to test or provide PPE etc

Matt Hancock strikes me as an out of touch school teacher who is doing little to get ‘the people’ on side.

The strategy of pit the people against each other seems to be working though. Why are so many people falling for it?

People are thick

Maybe.

That’s two different issues though isn’t it?

It’s a scandal that we weren’t more prepared to protect the very people we need to rely on for our health but to abdicate personal responsibility for playing a part in CV’s spread and ultimately place more pressure on the people we know haven’t got enough resources is also pretty repugnant.

People are people and will behave like people behave. It's the job of the government to manage that. If they don't make the right decision, then they haven't been given the right information. The people are not in charge. The government is.

I think people have not been given the right information.

The information I have been given has been confusing. Vague.

Now I’m being told off after trying very hard to follow hazy rules. But I’ve tried my best, under difficult circumstances. As so many of us have.

There is no thanks for this or encouragement to do even better. Only chastisement and threats.
