BBC 1 'Corona Virus Daily Update' programme didn't show the daily briefing!

Am I losing my mind or did anyone else notice this?

I put the programme on to see the daily briefing and they just waffled on with other news and then cut to Matt and Jenniy in the middle of the questions bit!

There is no mention on the BBC website of this error so I'm starting to wonder if I'm going mad.

I noticed that too!

TheReluctantCountess · 05/04/2020 16:42

I noticed too.

viccat · 05/04/2020 16:43

I was watching on BBC News and it seemed like they just started from the Q&A part, not sure if BBC just joined them late or if there was no statement made as such, just Q&A?

TheReluctantCountess · 05/04/2020 16:44

Oooh Matt Hancock didn’t like that last question, did he?

Violetroselily · 05/04/2020 16:44

Tech problem at source apparently

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 05/04/2020 16:44

It happened, the BBC just missed it. Someone forgot to push the button I think!

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 05/04/2020 16:45

Other people had it, don't know why BBC are making out like they didn't.

aut0replenish · 05/04/2020 16:45

He didn’t answer it either did he re him having a second home.🤔

Eggcited · 05/04/2020 16:45

They've just explained it was a technical error. They didn't receive the broadcast at the right time.

Rainbowunicat · 05/04/2020 16:45

The newsreader has just said there was an error and they're trying to show it.
I was honestly wondering if I had fallen asleep or something Grin

It happened on Sky News too - they started in the middle of questions!

viccat · 05/04/2020 16:46

Ah yeah, they explained there was a technical problem and a delay joining them. The missing part of it will follow later...

twinkle2306 · 05/04/2020 16:46

I'm sorry - how could it be a technical problem when it was showing on the TV screens behind them 😂

TheReluctantCountess · 05/04/2020 16:46

I bet Hancock has been at his second home.

Violetroselily · 05/04/2020 16:46

That PA question seemed a bit silly. Of course there is still a risk even if people are following the rules. Supermarkets havent suddenly become sterile because we're only supposed to be going once a week

PicsInRed · 05/04/2020 16:47

Oooh Matt Hancock didn’t like that last question, did he?

He practically spat the P in Paris "Thank you PARIS" 😡😂

NoLongerAnEasyTarget · 05/04/2020 16:48

I don't like Matt Hancock, something about him.

Hopefully they'll show the important bit later then. Else they need to do it again.

myrtleWilson · 05/04/2020 16:49

feed failure....

TheReluctantCountess · 05/04/2020 16:49

Yes he really spat the name out. He was not happy!

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 05/04/2020 16:54

Oooh Matt Hancock didn’t like that last question, did he?
Argh, missed it, what was the question?

Eggcited · 05/04/2020 16:54

Oooh Matt Hancock didn’t like that last question, did he?

I wonder if he has done the same, and is worried he might be caught out.

LibrettoCornetto · 05/04/2020 16:56

Matt Hancock's clearly been at second home then. Tosser.

LibrettoCornetto · 05/04/2020 16:57

PPPARIS!

Guilty as hell.

twinnywinny14 · 05/04/2020 16:59

It’s on bbc1 now

PicsInRed · 05/04/2020 17:01

If they've been at 2nd homes they can forget any notions of further lockdown or even enforcing this one.

Fines will be contested en masse and the job of the police has effectively been made impossible.

Republican sentiments are already gaining momentum and this two tiered lockdown is not going to help.
