Went out for a cycle ride today, cycled from our own home on a short circuit, away from popular walking spots and along main roads. On a road with mainly business buildings and a few houses - but on a main road - someone had tied a sign saying 'f£&@ off cyclists'. Just past it I got a puncture. As did. two other cyclists up in front of us.
Of course, could just be coincidence, couldn't find any tacks or anything on the road.
- we were not breaking any rules, had chosen a responsible route and the sign itself was very upsetting.
- IF anyone had laid anything to deter cyclists, the long walk back with bikes meant we were outside way way longer than we needed to.
Why do people think it's ok to make up their own rules?
