How are the parks near you today? I went for my walk and ours was totally empty. Yesterday a few dog walkers and groups but none today. keeping my fingers crossed as really hoping they don't change the rules on exercise.

I don't know, I've not been into any because I suspect that where I am there are a lot of people using them to teach their kids to ride bikes, so not necessarily very easy to maintain distance. Also dog walkers.

I went out for a run this morning but I stuck to pavements the whole time.

We only have a small park and I've never seen people flocking to it but the nature reserve between us and the park was as quiet as ever. We probably met no more than half a dozen people on our loop around it.

I live near a small country park (walking distance). On a lovely Sunday it would normally be heaving but today I saw no more than 6 people whilst walking my dog.

Quiet. We live near a big country park. It's still open but they've closed the car parks to deter people.

There's some open park land near me that I walked past on my way to the supermarket. Didn't see anybody using it bar a woman and her daughter walking a dog.

Local police posted a statement to thank everybody for staying away from the coast, so it looks like, at least here in this part of the SE, people were staying indoors.

LavenderQuartz · 05/04/2020 16:48

how about the beaches?

butterpuffed · 05/04/2020 16:53

I'm by the sea. Lots of people around yesterday and many had warnings. Much quieter today thankfully.

ChubbyPigeon · 05/04/2020 17:01

Pretty much dead here. One or two runners, couple of elderly people out and about but parks conpletely dead

We do have lots of countriside within walking distance though so much easier to spread people out

We went for a walk on our local recreation ground two streets away. there were a couple of other families there but we all kept our distance as it's the size of a full sized footie pitch plus some more space as well. The car parks for our local country parks are all closed so only people who can walk there can go, I haven't seen anything on social media about them being overly busy.

A few people walking dogs on our local green space, but plenty of room to avoid each other. We were just walking.

DP and DD went to our local park this morning, said it was quiet BUT there was a dickhead in the play area pushing his DC on the swings 🤦🏻‍♀️

I went for a run around the common early morning, some people around but not many. Only time I have been out so no idea now!
