I am trying to get as much nutrition into my family as possible. Fortunately they are going along with it. Soups made of about five different veg, all homemade and fresh. Smoothies with chia seeds and small amount of fruit. Fortified products, chia seeds, nuts ...... !!!!!

I am totally focusing on this to try keep my mind of things as feel as though there is something I CAN control.

What is your outlet?

I’m trying to focus on preparation for when/if one of us gets the virus. I’m doing the same as you, making sure we all eat nutritious food everyday, we all take vitamins, get our daily exercise and we all sleep well and keep to a very basic routine. I’m also preparing the house. I’m making sure everything is organised and basically clean and tidy. These things are helping me reduce my anxiety.

The biggest thing that has helped me is checking the news in the morning and the evening and not in between. The constant checking was driving my anxiety through the roof.

Not reading this forum would be a massive help for me!

When this started I was one of the ones checking the numbers at 1pm, watching or reading news several times a day. I have stopped all that now and just check the news once.

I have put my focus into spring cleaning, sorting the garden, focusing on my hobbies (mostly craft type things which I can do indoors). I’ve also been doing a lot of reading, books which completely take my mind off the current situation.

Yes I'm also finding this forum fascinating but recognise it is likely not the best for mental health (despite the incredible support it offers).

I think I might give it a rest for a few days. After today. Recognise that makes me sound like an addict!
