Scottish CMO - hypocritical

So it looks like checking a second home is an essential task if you are a senior official involved in the Pandemic in Scotland - how idiotic and hypocritical begging people not to move about, or come to their second homes in Scotland (which I fully agree with).......

Surely has to go.

iMoan7 · 05/04/2020 12:22

She’s got to go. How can they expect anyone to take the rules seriously when she’s doing that?

Aceventura20000 · 05/04/2020 12:48

Needs to be removed from her position. Not sure why it’s taking so long to do it

beepbeeprichie · 05/04/2020 13:08

Utterly disgraceful. And the government response is equally shameful. Saying how hard she is working. Some of us are also working very hard, exposing ourselves to the virus, trying to juggle children etc. The government logic is that she was only going to check on her house and was careful. I’d like to go and check on the local swings with my DC as I’ve been working really hard.
One rule for us plebs, and one rule for another
While we are at it, why is Hugh Pennington not CMO? Where is he?

Fivefootoffun · 05/04/2020 13:36

Inexcusable - I just can’t get my head round what she was thinking.

I live in a fairly built up part of Glasgow. I’m not allowed to drive to the nearest park for my children’s exercise (1 and 3yo) so instead having to walk round this concrete jungle which is becoming increasingly boring for the kids yet shes getting excused by our government for having an overnight with the family and dogs and a nice walk along the beach to boot. I am honestly so appalled.

Fivefootoffun · 05/04/2020 13:37

A 7 minute drive btw but obviously non essential hence I’ve been not going.more fool me given this news today!
