A pretty normal day yesterday. Dc played in the garden, full of their usual energy. Yesterday evening all of a sudden DS was all lethargic and tired. He is usually full of endless energy. He was asleep by 8pm (never happens). Woke up this morning and said he felt poorly. He struggles to explain where it hurts but seems tired and lethargic. Checked his temperature. It’s borderline elevated. Given him calpol. He keeps getting up to play then after 15 minutes has to go lie down. No cough or obvious other symptoms.

We have not been out in over 2 weeks and not interacted with anyone. Could it be covid despite that it’s been over 2 weeks since we’ve had any contact with anyone??

Yes. Incubation period is normally 5-14 days but can be longer. Keep dosing him up, I'm sure he'll be fine in a few days. Self isolate.

Sounds like he has a virus, I wouldn't worry about which one right now. Just encourage food and drink, let him decide when he needs to rest and give calpol as necessary. Whatever it is he should be better in a few days.

Thank you. We are isolating and not coming into contact with anyone anyway! 😃
