Another Social distancing question

I've been doing a lot of gardening this week, in the back. I'd really like to cut my overgrown hedge at the front. If I did it'd obvs include the pavement side. I could stop and move if anyone approached. Or they'd have the option of crossing the road. But what do people think- is it sufficient social distancing?

Yes

Thanks clymene. Sorry, probably a silly question! 😄

Please leave it a few months. Birds are getting into nest building and it would be a shame to deny them a prime location. Unless it's Leylandii. In which case go for the nuclear option.

Thanks squashyhat, but we're lived here for over 10 years and no bird has ever nested in it. I think it's just boring privet.

If nothing is nesting, then do it.

It's a public service (at all times and especially now) to keep the pavements free from encroachment

Thanks edithneston very good point.
