Covid 19 and conjunctivitis

Has anyone had the symptoms for or being tested positive while also getting viral conjunctivitis? My child had all the symptoms a couple of weeks ago but also had bright red eyes.It won’t change what we do (we are self isolating for other reasons) but I’m interested about anyone else’s experience and whether this could have been the virus.

They are saying sore red eyes ate potentially a symptom of covid now. However I believe I probably had it 3 to 4 weeks ago as I was so I'll with something very unlike anything else I've had before and now have bright red sore itchy eyes and a sore throat, pollen hayfever is really really bad this year, I'm normally barely affected but poor DS who us a real sufferer is really feeling it too.
So options!
Conjunctivitis
Covid
Hayfever

Hope all is better soon!

Yes, conjunctivitis is a symptom of Coronavirus.

DS has conjunctivitis in both eyes, a week later was taken to hospital with a fever, trouble breathing and he was coughing more or less constantly at night, and a bit less throughout the day. No blocked nose and no bogeys which is odd for a cold in a toddler. This was a month ago and they didn't test, so can't say for sure but seems suspicious!

my daughter also had conjunctivitis in both eyes which was followed by a cough so we all isolated for 14 days. My partner and I have also had a mild cough too so we potentially have all had it but no way to be sure unless they start antibody testing soon

Thanks for responding.I had conjunctivitus too but again no cold symptoms,I was exhausted (but then up with a baby and poorly toddler) but no cough.

I think I’m just really hoping it’s over and done with it for her but because I wasn’t really very ill like she was I’m doubting it more.My baby was grizzly but that was it.

We all just need the antibody year don’t we!

A few weeks ago DS (7) was off colour and a bit wheezy (he has asthma and got the bags under his eyes they get at times). We upped his preventer and he had some reliever a few days in a row in the evening (he normally never needs it). He also got a bit of earache and conjunctivitis so we kept him off school for a few days. After 3 days off school he was back to his usual self and was not wheezy any more and had lost the bags so in full health. No cough, no fever. No idea if Covid or not. DH and I have each subsequently had a cold and I've had a cough for a couple of weeks (getting better now!). I'm the only one that has possibly had a fever (felt a bit warm at times but nothing consistent) but no idea if this is it or not. We've all been mild if it is but no risk factors except DS's asthma.
