Toothache

I am getting a dull ache in my molar. It’s not enough pain to warrant taking any painkillers but am pretty sure my filling has come off.

I’ve had this filling for about 4 years, and it decides to come off now??

I rang NHS 111 today and I’ve got a phone call consultation on Monday. I am not registered to any dentists unfortunately.

I am really worried it’s going to get an infection and lead to more problems.

Is there anything I can do?
Will private dentist do a filling for me? Is and dentist doing anything at the moment?

Read the thread 'to tell you all to take care of your dental hygiene'

Sorry I don't know how to link. Lots of dentists on that thread

There are big issues with dentistry at the moment, as many dental procedures are aerosol producing, and therefore high risk of spreading CV19. I went to my dentist on the first Tuesday of lockdown with toothache from a broken tooth which is waiting for an extraction. He temp filled it and gave me antibiotics and (so far) all is good. My dentist is now closed with a phone number to call for emergencies. The official line is that they are not performing any procedures, as they are too risky, and just phone triaging with antibiotics and analgesia advice. I did hear that someone had been sent to the hospital for an extraction last week, so some provision is still available.

Hard to find anything but definitely call a dentist and see what the recorded message says.
