If you went that is?
My friend works in Sainsbury's and said to me that yesterday the queue was 2 hours to get in.
I went to aldi earlier and had to wait around half an hour. One in one out.

What I find really shit is there's no adjustment for disabled people with this waiting. Be it wheelchair, arthritis, blindness and many other conditions the supermarkets don't give a toss, it's literally come in the dedicated hour or tough shit. Very sad.

Iwant2move · 04/04/2020 20:15

No queue. I do live in the middle of nowhere though.

Fatted · 04/04/2020 20:16

I go to Asda at 9 am on a Saturday. No queue either time I've been. It's also back up to normal stock levels pretty much.

NannyR · 04/04/2020 20:16

10mins at lunch time today - morrisons in West Yorkshire.

AgeLikeWine · 04/04/2020 20:17

No queue at Lidl yesterday afternoon.

Remmy123 · 04/04/2020 20:18

Sainsbury's 9am today - 10 mins

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 04/04/2020 20:18

No queue at all. 4 people in small Ish Asda. One way system in place. Everything in stock. Very civilised. South Yorkshire.

JoeySpecial · 04/04/2020 20:19

@SimplySteveRedux

My mum has walking aids and she was allowed to go in with other disabled people as priority at her local Asda a few weeks ago.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 04/04/2020 20:19

Oh that was at 7pm

BubblyBarbara · 04/04/2020 20:19

I went to a big Co Op on Friday morning at 10am, no queue or any sort of control on the doors at all. Has everything except toilet rolls

Evennow · 04/04/2020 20:27

Went straight in (smallish Co-op in densely populated area). Not at all badly stocked.

We3kingsoforientareandabump · 04/04/2020 20:27

Less than 5 mins at local Aldi. I waited until after 4pm though apparently it was a long wait first thing

RU562341 · 04/04/2020 20:28

'm going to a small local one tomorrow instead of the big ones. I don't anticipate a queue, but accept I will have to pay higher prices.

CloudsCanLookLikeSheep · 04/04/2020 20:29

About 15 mins to get into Aldi. The biggest pain is if you realise you've forgotten something on the way out, can't be arsed to queue up again for one thing.

Onceateacher · 04/04/2020 20:29

Do weekends still mean busier shops or is that no longer a thing with more people at home? I wonder.

Meredithgrey1 · 04/04/2020 20:30

An hour to get into the pharmacy to get a prescription for my daughter.
15 mins to get into Asda.

Randomschoolworker19 · 04/04/2020 20:30

I've never had to but then I go as late as possible usually around closing time precisely because there are less people about.

Nanalisa60 · 04/04/2020 20:33

Walked straight into M&S this afternoon on queue, lots of lovely staff to help you find what you needed.

Aldi two days ago no problem

Both shop had tons of food.

Proudpeacock · 04/04/2020 20:34

About 20 minutes to get into Sainsburys at lunchtime today. But it was only 2 minutes queuing to pay at the end. Last week it was the ther way round with queues back up the aisles making it hard to distance so overall a better experience today even though I should have worn another layer as it was a bit chilly queuing outside.

RingtheBells · 04/04/2020 20:35

I think weekends does mean it’s busier, not everyone is wfh, I am still working in a non keyworker job

MrsRedFly · 04/04/2020 20:35

Went at 5.30 pm no queue at Tesco!

ACertainSupermarket · 04/04/2020 20:38

word of advice from our store at least:
busy times - all morning up to around 2pm
Want to go when it's quiet? Late afternoon and especially 7pm onwards, it's lovely then! There is plenty of stock.

IrisAtwood · 04/04/2020 20:40

My partner queued for 20 minutes.

Lordamighty · 04/04/2020 20:41

9am today large M&S, 1 hour 20 mins to get in. 75 people allowed yet at least half of the shoppers were couples, why, just why? Strolling round without a care in the world. Before anyone tells me they were shopping for someone else, I was shopping for 3 households yet still managed to do it on my own.

Shinyshoes2 · 04/04/2020 20:42

Tesco yesterday (Ds) 20 minutes, a large one
