So today I've seen 2 lots of neighbours going out or coming back in the car as a family, 2 have visitors arrive and go in to their house and 2 allowing their small children to play together on the green. And that's just what has caught my eye while doing a couple of bits of housework on and off today...not been staring out the window all day! We walked the dog down the road for 10 mins and saw as many cars as normal whizzing past. Is it just my neighbours? They were all out on Thursday capping and cheering and even setting off fireworks!!

My neighbours yes but they are doctors so taking it very seriously. I did think there were still a lot of cars about when I was out on my walk though. The police should do more spot checks.

HoffiCoffi13 · 04/04/2020 19:04

Yes, as far as I can tell everyone round here is following the guidelines.

crosser62 · 04/04/2020 19:05

I’m self isolating. Day 2.

Prior to this On my journeys to and from work I am astounded by the amount of people around.

But here as far as I can tell cars are staying on driveways, people milling around separately.

Today is the first time I’ve taken much notice tbh.

MerryDeath · 04/04/2020 19:07

our neighbours appear to be in and the road has been quite quiet

GetTheSprinkles · 04/04/2020 19:09

Very very quiet in my town while walking the dog today

AvoidingRealHumans · 04/04/2020 19:10

As far as I can tell my neighbours and the village as a whole are adhering to it. There's a queue to get in the shop but this is to limit numbers as once in it is dead in there.

CharlieTangoBanana · 04/04/2020 19:32

There is nobody around me because I'm social distancing

TestBank · 04/04/2020 19:34

A few token gestures yes, mostly no

DartmoorChef · 04/04/2020 19:37

Im in Okehampton in Devon and there's hardly anyone around. Hopefully it will stay that way now the weather has improved as the last thing we need is visitors coming in and traipsing all over Dartmoor 🤔

Kazzyhoward · 04/04/2020 19:41

Not in the slightest. Neighbour across the road are still having friends over and looks like the daughter is having a house party today - several cars already here. Next door neighbours have two daughters and their boyfriends keep coming and going, staying the odd night, etc. Old bloke and his wife diagonally opposite are out in their car 2 or 3 times a day. Other neighbour is still looking after the grandchildren who come mid morning and taken back by mother mid afternoon. So, basically, none of our neighbours are doing what they should.

Gfplux · 04/04/2020 19:42

Luxembourg.
No parties, no mixing of household. No panic buying.
We are three weeks in to extreme social distancing and I have not seen anyone breaking the rules.
However if I did I would not hesitate to report them.
It is our business if people can’t control themselves.

bellinisurge · 04/04/2020 19:45

To a woman and man round her - all social distancing.

bluebell94 · 04/04/2020 19:50

Our street seems pretty quiet still, other than that we've noticed an older couple across the road going food shopping every other day...

LaBelleSauvage123 · 04/04/2020 19:56

Village in SW - haven’t seen a single person not adhering to the guidelines.

Pipandmum · 04/04/2020 20:09

Very quiet in my town but hear the beach (10 minute walk away) has a number of people walking about like normal.

Shitsgettingcrazy · 04/04/2020 20:10

Yes. Town is quiet. People leave space in the supermarket.

2 neighbours has a fall out earlier about who got too close to the fence.

Apart from that. It people are being pretty great here.

Polkadotpjs · 04/04/2020 20:27

People are still walking too close to me in my little town and today I was walking along the pavement with the kids and a whole family of runners cane by- we ducked into a doorway but they ran right by us - I’d expected them to run round us by going in the road (no cars) but no. I am also annoyed with people letting dogs off the lead when others are around as the inevitably come close trying to retrieve them. Or maybe I’m a worry wart but I hated our walk today. We crossed the road 4 times as the people heading towards us weren’t for moving.
