Hi, I just posted on another thread asking for advice but I thought it might be better to start a new thread.
I’d really appreciate some advice please. My brother in law has been really ill with covid (at home, not tested but pretty certain that’s what it is). He’s had it a little while and his breathing isn’t too bad now but what’s really worrying is that he can’t keep any fluid down at all. He’s only eaten half a piece of toast in the last five days and hardly any fluid and any fluid he does drink he just throws back up. He had a high fever too and is sweating a lot so losing fluid that way too.
My sister spoke to the doctor yesterday who prescribed anti sickness meds but they haven’t worked. BIL has been throwing up again today. She’s really worried. Trying to get through to 111. Reluctant to call ambulance as his breathing isn’t too bad and we know the ambulances will be needed for people with respiratory problems. But I think he maybe needs to be in hospital with a drip?
Would be so grateful if anyone has any advice. Thanks.
