My niece is daughter of key worker I have been looking after her some days & my mum others & she just started key worker scheme yesterday though wasn't that keen too go she enjoyed
I'm thinking though I shouldn't really be having her? Am I right? What is the official guidance?
My children are also going to key workers scheme on days required

Do you live with your niece? Does your niece live with your Mum? How old is your Mum? Do any of you have any health conditions which make you/they vulnerable?

No you shouldn't have been having your neice and neither should your mum. Advice is not to mix households.

Her household should have been mixing with sisters work, keyworker childcare and their own house.

By including you and your mum she's added another 3 places that that list (your house, mum's house, mum's work). That's 3 extra chances of spreading the virus that didn't need to happen.

Sorry, missed the end bit where you are a keyworker and your kids go to keyworker care too. So that takes it up to 4 (your work) or even 5 (if neice and your kids go to different keyworker childcare) extra places.

@xyzandabc this is what I thought
My mum did say in week she thought the same as she was going to have my kids Wednesday & I said No they will go to key workers each day I need
But my niece still went to my mums as she not fussed on key workers care but I don't think I should be having my niece

My sister though had it explained to her like this the other day when we was talking about key workers: by going to key workers with 19 other kids theres a possibility to be in contact with the virus 19 times plus however many staff. But by staying in a family environment there's a chance of being contact with the virus 5-6 times. That's how one of the nurses was explaining it to her the other day. Also she was saying there is no rule saying healthy family can't help each other.
Everyone says different etc
