What is the point of the ocado virtual queue?!

I wait. I wait. I wait.

I get through. I do my shop. I try to book delivery. No slots available. None.

The queue page clearly states:

We advise you to book a delivery slot before filling up your basket to ensure there is availability in your area.

And also:

We must prioritise certain deliveries, including customers identified as vulnerable, and so have few slots for general release for the next 24 hours.

You were never guaranteed a slot, particularly as few are available, so it’s your own fault if you wasted time filling your basket before actually checking for slots

But no option to book before shopping that I could find!

And filling my basket was no big deal. Minutes at most.
