I'm becoming increasingly frustrated about the poor communication from DD's nursery. A few days after the closure was announced, they sent out an email praising the parents who had offered to pay full fees, and criticising those who had asked whether they would have to pay fees. (I was in neither group). They ended up charging 50% for April, but still haven't confirmed what the fees will be going forward. AIBU to expect them to now confirm what the fees will be for the forseeable future (eg. during lockdown)? I emailed them today to ask and they replied saying that they couldn't say, and that "it is possible that the 50% discount might be applied in May". I want to support them, but I also want them to be transparent. E.g. we will be charging x going forward as this is the amount it costs to pay our overheads which are rent and insurance. My own hours and pay have been cut, and while we'll be ok for the time being, obviously I am trying to save money as much as possible and this is a massive cost which I feel I can't even predict.
