I think I’ve had it

So I’m just wondering if it sounds like me and my DS (17 months old) had it. I know there’s absolutely no way of telling without a test.
On 14th March I woke with an extremely sore throat. That night I had chills and body aches. A couple of days later I developed a dry cough, which I’ve still got now 20 days later, although not quite as bad, it moves between phlegmy and dry.
I also previously had crackling sounds when I breathed and a tight feeling in my chest, like a band around it.
My one year old DS started with a temp for one day, then had a severe cough, particularly bad at night, he threw up one night as he was coughing so much and burst a blood vessel in his eye 😢 he was off his food until a couple of days ago and also very sleepy and cried a lot more, was very whingey. I also noticed his breathing seemed faster for a couple of days, but he was still able to run around and play so I thought he was ok and I was being overly anxious.
He’s much much better this week, his cough is mostly gone and he is back to his normal self, eating and playing like usual.

Do you think it sounds like we had it?
Weirdly my partner only had a slight cough, but he had bad diarrhoea for 3 days out of nowhere.
My MIL had a dry cough (and still has) she had it before any of us too. But she’s not been unwell with it, although she’s 69 so I thought she’d be in the risky catogery, she is very physically fit though.

I know there’s no way of telling without a test but just wondering if those who have had it or know people who have, does it sound similar?

Personally I think quite a number of people have already had it, myself included and in my case before China had the courtesy to mention a hugely catastrophic disease was flying from place to place.

The only definitive way to tell is when/if we finally get the chance to have an antibody test.
Until I do get one, I will treat it like I haven't and will keep up the necessary precautions.

I agree with BiBi (disclaimer to add I am not a professional - just my opinion) that many of us have probably had it. I think at least two of my close family members have had it, including me. I had all the symptoms from the last week in Jan on and off until the last week in Feb. Two weeks later, DS got a dry, persistent cough. In between that the others had odd bits and bobs. Who knows but I’ll be getting a testing kit if/when they become available to the general public.

I am also on 20th or 21st day of my cough and I really have no idea what it is. Sometimes dry, sometimes cough. In the beginning I had higher temperature on and off, was bit tired etc. It’s gone now, but still struggling with cough. I am getting bit worried that it might be i.e. bronchitis, but what can I go, I won’t even get to see my gp now, so I am hoping to get better at home.
