Mine are

  • Individually, we’re each pretty insignificant
  • A lot of day to day shit really doesn’t matter
  • There’s somethings that are so far beyond our control it’s pretty much incomprehensible
  • There's an awful lot of selfish fuckers out there who think rules don’t apply to them
  • There’s an awful lot of people out there who put others before themselves and do what they can to help

That there are total twats who want to judge shopping trolleys for their degree of necessity.

That being a general prepper is a good idea.

That my boss has zero leadership skills or people skills, despite going on at length about his great leadership skills and how much of a people person he is. He has no grasp of technology and no strategy. Or rather, his strategy as our boss is to 'empower ' and say he trusts us.. He does nothing. I am actually quite contemptuous of how he has handled the whole situation. I, or anyone in the team would have done a much better job. He thinks he is doing a great job too.....

That its not the worst thing in the world to just stay home sometimes and do nothing interesting.

How much money I used to spend on random stuff every day.

How I really want a partner to hang out with (not to mention have sex with).

How I'm much happier relaxing at home when I don't have FOMO because no one else is out having fun!

That people are quick to snitch on others and forget the importance of freedom

That a lot of adults hate their own company and struggle to occupy themselves.

That takeaway coffees are hugely overrated and that i previously spent far too much money on them.

That I’m just as introverted as I thought I was.

The human brain is hugely suggestable and psychologist probably could rule the world.

The second you are told you can't have/do something you REALLY want it out of all proportion to a rational need.

For example, I just read PP "that takeaway coffees are hugely overrated" which normally I'd agree with but now am craving a large sugary Starbucks coffee but only because I can't get one. In normal times I'd just be meh I agree totally.

Don't get me started on Long Island Ice Tea.

That many people think that their own 'right to freedom' is more important than anybody or anything else.

How well DH and I actually get on, when the day to day stresses of rushing around to get to work/school/meetings (and all associated stress) are removed from the equation.

This!! Definitely!
