Our local high at around 6-7Pm normally has a steady stream from the station and places open. Now all the little gangs are filling the spaces, 20 yr olds on their BMXs etc and weed smoking etc but on the High Street, more rather than the usual tucked away bits like stairwells.
They are the only ones in masks, seriously it looks comedy in a way- bling and blue masks and glaring. On a serious note I felt for the shopkeeper with them all covering their faces and menacing poses.
Is anyone else seeing a bit more trouble out, with less people out. I do get some of these are just large teens in probably crap housing and bored, rather than trouble makers but it’s changed the feel of popping to the shop.
It’s not awful, just a distinct change of who’s out. Clearly also some boredom today as a few parked cars were also alight around the same time today for no apparent reason.
The area is East London ‘rough’ but usually feels pretty safe with a huge range of people out, from families, to city workers, to teens to bars being busy outside.
