Hope I have posted this in the right place.

So me and DP are in a fortunate position we're we're both able to work from home on full pay - so last night we were thinking how we can give a little back. Can't deliver food as I'm 30 weeks pregnant and we're both working longs hours so volunteer work is out of the question. But we can donate to food banks next time one of us does a shop.

If you have used these what's in short supply? My last shop I saw baby milk formula was in stock so that's on our list to donate. I'd rather get supplies people want/need over what I think is essential.

Many thanks

Google your local food bank, most have a website with a list of what they are most in need of. At the moment with fewer donations coming in and likely to be more people using them, I expect anything would be welcome

Cheers @RhymingRabbit3 I didn't know they did this. I just see a trolly at the end of our supermarket with food bank written on it but will have a google

I would ask the local one what they are short of, I took some pasta, pasta sauce, some tins- beans etc, biscuits, crisps and some children's cereal and they only wanted the cereal and biccies as they had lots of the other bits, which seems odd when there's a shortage Confused. I believe some you can also donate to, you can to the Trussell trust for sure but not sure how they distribute it etc if you wanted the help to remain local.
