Help! DH picked up an object outside!

He went out for a walk and picked up a plastic object someone had dropped and put it in his pocket (a lighter - didn't want kids to pick it up)

He washed his hands when he came in but forgot about having picked it up until he took trousers off

He said he hadn't really thought about it but doesn't think he touched his face after handling the lighter but might have done

How high is the risk?
