Petty things that grate

Yeah I know I'm BU hence not posting there!

But some of the things winding me up (that I actually totally understand, I'm just very short on patience atm) are:

  1. People complaining about how low UC is once they have to exist on it themselves. Plenty of people have had to exist on it before now.
  2. People complaining about reduced/no maintenance this month cause of CV. Plenty of people women have to exist all of the time with no maintenance. Frequently while point 1 is also relevant to them.
  3. Those who clap for the NHS while still taking the piss in various ways.

What things are winding you up that you'd usually be much more serene and laid back about?

I know this is unreasonable too but I'm getting a bit wound up by my parents (retired with a lovely house, garden and pension) complaining. I think because all their friends are in the same position they think the main concerns during this epidemic are what happens if you run out of lemons for your G&T and having to cancel your weekend city break next month. Hmm

Also I'm really bored of people sharing incessant updates on their kids' latest crap craft projects or home PE lessons. I really, genuinely don't care.

This might be incredibly controversial... but everyone and their mum complaining that corona will be especially bad for them because of their "poor immune system" - note I don't mean immunosuppressed or actual medical diagnoses, just someone claiming that their toddler "gets every bug". Yes - that's otherwise known as having a toddler.

Referring specifically to people who I know, who aren't any more ill than anyone else but mainly like to be pitied/the centre of attention. Yes I know that's nasty of me.

When you're actually ill, your (okay - mine) tolerance for bullshit whinging gets tested a lot.
