I am wondering, what will happen next friday? 3 weeks isolations, will it be announced we have to stay in further? I am already thinking thats what will happen

MondeoFan · 02/04/2020 20:40

Yes I think so as we will be reaching the peak by then

Scottishgirl85 · 02/04/2020 20:42

Yes, review in a further 3 weeks

Smarshian · 02/04/2020 20:46

3 weeks is Monday 13th, not next Friday.
And yes probably further isolation.

TokyoSushi · 02/04/2020 20:51

3 more weeks I suspect. People would have gone mad if they'd said you have to stay in for 12 weeks, but don't be surprised at 4 sets of 3 weeks...

Bluntness100 · 02/04/2020 20:55

I also think three weeks more, maybe two, but likely three.

Matildathehun77 · 02/04/2020 20:57

Yes he'll announce another 3 then we'll see again. Things will either tighten up or stay the same depending on whether people have managed to actually follow the rules without being forced to do so.

Drivemybluecar · 02/04/2020 20:57

Do you think they will shit us down further. I’m self employed and can’t work from home so still working. Wondering how much longer I will be able to buy food

TreeTopTim · 02/04/2020 21:01

There are numerous threads on this subject. I am surprised that anyone thinks that after the three weeks the restrictions will ease off. We are in this for the long haul. It is not some quick fad.

ShesGotBetteDavisEyes · 02/04/2020 21:01

Do you think they will shit us down further

I hope not, sounds gross Grin

Even if they do you will be able to go out for food - they’re not going to let people starve! They may stop exercise though.

ShesGotBetteDavisEyes · 02/04/2020 21:03

We are in this for the long haul. It is not some quick fad.

And this ^^ - once they ease off and people start mixing more there will be a rise in cases again (see China). Then they will have to lockdown again. It will be a gradual ease off/lockdown scenario I think.
Only a cure would stop this and how likely is that realistically. And if they do find one it’ll take a while to be distributed to everyone..

Samtsirch · 02/04/2020 21:12

@ShesGotBetteDavisEyes
You’re right it sounds horribly gross, I think we’ve all been through enough already 🤣😂🤣

RB68 · 02/04/2020 21:17

We had also done 2 weeks before the announced lockdown. Had enough now! Will carry on and although life hasn't changed hugely for us 12 weeks is a looooong time with no real contact with others

feellikeanalien · 02/04/2020 21:22

I think it was always going to be a lot longer than 3 weeks but they didn't want to say so. As other pps have said if they had announced an immediate 12 week lock-down it would have caused all kinds of problems.

Snowman123 · 02/04/2020 21:24

Next Friday we buy Easter eggs.

And prepare for another 3 week lockdown.

sandragreen · 02/04/2020 21:35

Yes, another three weeks minimum

Stopyourhavering64 · 02/04/2020 21:36

I hope it shows that the measures are shown to be working
I'm in the shielded/ vulnerable group and been told not to go outside for 12 weeks Sad....I can only watch everyone going for their walks past my lounge window

thatgingergirl · 02/04/2020 21:55

Next Friday I will be eating lots of hot cross buns.

On Monday 13th the current Covid-19 measures are due to be reviewed. I think we'll have another 3 weeks of restrictions.

Matildathehun77 · 02/04/2020 21:56

Wondering how much longer I will be able to buy food

They're not going to prevent Coronavirus deaths and leave people to starve to death are they though. The next thing to go will be the daily exercise..... that will be tough on a lot of people though so I hope not. They may also put restrictions on food shopping like you can only go out twice a week or something.

SleepyNightOwl · 03/04/2020 01:01

A lot of people are already being told to stay inside for twelve weeks. I imagine most others will have the restrictions we do now for at least another three or four.
