Government considering a Coronavirus app

Sorry if there's another thread about this. I've looked but can find one!

So it appears the government are looking at using an app that uses GPS and can tell you if you've been in contact with anyone who has the virus so you can self isolate. In theory it sounds good but you would need a large proportion of the population to take it up and obviously there would have to be sufficient capacity to test at home. I'm sure the human rights/ surveillance issues may concern many. Would you consider using it? I think I probably would

It would rely on people using it correctly. Results could be skewed by people who have it mildly or asymptomatically and don't test themselves - or people who (for whatever reason) want to conceal their illness - in other words, it could give a false sense of security.
