How do you say it!

OP posts:
BeautyQueenFromMars · 02/04/2020 17:56

Meddy-sin

TheTroutofNoCraic · 02/04/2020 17:57

Med-uh-sin
Northern Irish accent though

waterlego · 02/04/2020 17:59

Med-i-sn

Short i (Like in ‘with’)
And a flat, short vowel in the last syllable. So more like sn than sin or sun.

Stet · 02/04/2020 18:01

Med-sin!

Med-sin

Stet · 02/04/2020 18:02

But I'm counting down to the first pompous 'This is the proper way to say it' comment that always comes on these threads 🙄

Minesacider · 02/04/2020 18:02

Med-i-sin.

reefedsail · 02/04/2020 18:03

Med-i-sen

Minesacider · 02/04/2020 18:03

@waterlego I say it like you. Less sin, more sn.

Whitefeather01 · 02/04/2020 18:03

Med-I-sin or med-uh-sin

reefedsail · 02/04/2020 18:04

Gillian1980 · 02/04/2020 18:04

LettuceP · 02/04/2020 18:04

MangoesAreMyFavourite · 02/04/2020 18:06

Med-sun

sandragreen · 02/04/2020 18:09

Neither of your options OP

It's meddy sin here (South Coast)

jenganinja · 02/04/2020 18:19

I thought this just today as I noticed Matt Hancock say Medsin. I've noticed some posh people say it like that. I've always said Meddisin

Wibblewobble03 · 02/04/2020 18:28

Really checkin myself now! I always thought it was med-I-sun (medicine) as medicinal, for example 'taken for medicinal purposes' is (med-i-sun-al)... I'm not sure if I'm making sense or losing the plot! Either way I'm off to find chocolate!

RaraRachael · 02/04/2020 18:29

Med-i-sin but my mother always used to say med-sin,

Marmite27 · 02/04/2020 18:30

Med-sin

HelloDulling · 02/04/2020 18:32

Med-sin. I think.

GirlsInGreen · 02/04/2020 18:32

Gin

AvonBarksdale99 · 02/04/2020 18:34

I don’t think I’ve heard med-sin before?! Taste of your own med-sin? It’s med-dih-sin! (Or meddy-sin etc)

GreyPaw · 02/04/2020 18:37

Med-sn is the posh way. See also: ven-sn.

PenguinsOnParade · 02/04/2020 18:39

Med-i-sin
