How do I get an Ocado delivery slot???

Like many other people I have been a customer of Ocado for over a decade. I don’t have a car, so really rely on having a delivery of most items, that I then top up from local shops. At the moment I have some supplies and I can get some things from local shops - so I am not desperate and I am not greedy - I would just really like ONE delivery slot in the next three or four weeks.

I have tried several times but I keep getting a message that all the slots are gone. I am also a working lone parent, so can’t devote a whole day to this. Any tips? It just feels really unfair...

I'm finding that logging in a couple of times in the evening you might strike lucky. They are only releasing slots around a week to 10 days in advance, so you won't be able to book for 3 weeks time. When I got in last night, it said my first slot available was 2nd April - 6pm. They'd obviously just added a few within the next couple of days. I feel like my whole week is spent trying to get Ocado sorted, so I feel your pain!

I managed to get one for next Monday when I logged on about 10pm last night. I'd been logging on for a day or so prior to that so I do feel your pain. The prices now though are ridiculous and I will be getting deliveries from local providers from now on.

To be honest I don't think you have much chance at all unless you already pay for a smart pass and so are considered one of their priority customers.

Hilary - you are probably right. It’s a pretty rubbish system.

Please please could I respectfully ask Ocado customers (or any online supermarket) who are not on the government shielded list to leave delivery slots for those who are. I’m dying here trying to get a delivery for my young family who are shielding our DD who is a transplant patient. We have been instructed not to leave the house for 12 weeks so if you are able to please could you use shops. I know it’s a very difficult time for everyone right now but there is a very good reason why certain individuals are being shielded Sad

Fedupfrida - I completely agree that you should get priority. No question. It’s just from what is left over, I would have really liked to get one slot, even if it is not for ages.
