Dying alone

I hear on the news etc about the heartbreaking last days and hours of people who die of COVID19. They are alone as the risk to their families is too great.

Does anyone know if that is also the case for the very young teenagers who have died?

This is devastating in so many ways. I'm terrified for my family but this would be unbearable.

I believe the poor 13 year old was not allowed his family there but I haven't heard about the others 😔

Sorry but I don't see a distinction between a youngster and an older person dying alone. It's utterly tragic for either. An old person can be just as vulnerable as a child.

I suppose the only saving grace for either is that they are probably so ill that they, hopefully, aren't even aware of their surroundings.

The 13 year old didn’t have his family there, but he was in an artificially induced coma so would not have been aware. It’s not clear that the family weren’t allowed there either.
