When do you think the construction industry will go back to work

I know nobody can say for sure but wonder what people estimate? My DP works in the construction/building industry putting up frames for new homes ... something along those lines! He's out of work unpaid not entitled to anything and we've just recently took out a mortgage which is not sustainable on my wage only. I'm ill with worry and stress about him being off for months and months. I assume it might be longer for offices etc and people who are able to work from home but I just have no idea what we are going to do.

I work in the cement industry for a worldwide company and we’re still having to go in to work ‘business as usual’ as demand is still there for construction and even smaller DIY shops are still taking it too.

We’ll still be making cement until the demand stops and so far we’ve not been told of many sites that have been shut hence the demand.

I’d of never thought that being in maintenance we’d be classed at key workers at all! It’s very worrying having to go in everyday and trying to keep the 2m is hard on plant!

Could you ask the mortgage company for a few months grace? Your husband is safe with you though that should be a bit weight off your mind.
