How do we claim universal credit?

DP self employed hasn't been able to work for past month. I am furloughed and will receive about £900 a month. My mortgage is £650 a month, have applied for a holiday but might not get it.

I'm confused how to claim - UC helpline directs to HMRC the HMRC back to UC and of course we can't get through.

Has anyone else with one employed on self employed partner claimed and can enlighten me?

You claim Uc through DWP via the Gov.uk site. You will both need to make separate claims, whoever makes theirs first is given a linking code to link the two claims together.

Unless you have dependent children you may not get any Uc though.
