Covid19 & Croup? - 2 year old

Hi all,

My 2 year old has croup - she sounds like a seal! This is quite a regular occurrence.

I can't find a straight answer online, but is there any link between that and covid? I'm not sure at what point to be concerned.

TIA

In what way?

Croup is a virus.

Covid is a virus that doesn't cause a crouch cough.

She can only contract covid if she has been in contact with the virus whether she has croup or not.

I am very interested to hear peoples responses, I have been in contact with someone who has tested positive and my husband and I were very poorly for a fortnight. One night while we were ill my 17 month old woke up for one night with croup like symptoms, we stayed up with him for hours and he slept in our bed. However by the next day he was absolutely fine apart from occasional cough!

I did some research and found that other coronavirus strains can cause croup in children!!!
