But I’m getting desperate for good and thinking maybe one day this week I’ll get take out for kids. Really worried if bad idea. Had email from favourite takeaway place outlining all the safety measures they’re taking. Would you or not?

I would! I have! Just take precautions with the pizza box. It’s supporting a local business and a nice treat for children.

Take aways are still open here so we are ordering same as before - mainly for lunch as we under under curfew on an evening. It save a me having to cook so much the delivery guys all wear masks and gloves and you can ask for contactless delivery if you wish.

Thanks for putting me at ease! Silly question how is best way to be careful of cardboard box and how can I take other precautions?

Yes; wash your hands before you eat. I’m not particularly worried about the idea of the virus being on cardboard though as otherwise they wouldn’t be allowing pizza or any packages

Yes we did. Payed online and the driver left it on the doorstep. He wore gloves. Enjoy!

So when the pizza arrives immediately tip it on a plate and put box in outside bin. Then wash hands and enjoy! I haven't because I'm paranoid about the person preparing my food but that's just me.

Advice was to maybe microwave pizza for a couple of minutes, ensures that any virus is dead if it's been sneezed or coughed on.

There was a really good article posted about takeaways being safe because of the high temperatures etc.

That’s a good idea to microwave it actually and definitely be putting cardboard box outside straight away in recycling box - not that our rubbish has been collected for bloody 2 weeks now
