Logged on 20 minutes ago to try to get a slot and I'm in a queue, is it likely to take hours? And will all the slots be gone?

Just got in after 48 minutes, no slots left 😩

MyDaughtersLeftFoot · 31/03/2020 00:52

I got fed up of waiting in the app, slides app and reopened and got straight on and got a click and collect for 20th. The app queue is clearly not working at all.

I wouldn’t mind but I’ve had a load of contact from them today about my delivery saver, saying my card has expired and I need to renew it etc. The plan is due to refresh (6 monthly) but my card hasn’t changed at all. They’re obviously trying to punt people 🙄🙄

RamblingFar · 31/03/2020 00:56

Checked out at last.

Ginkypig · 31/03/2020 00:56

It took me roughly an hour of waiting last night, I was logged in and ready and on the waiting page By a couple of mins past midnight. By the time it let me on there was 2 slots left of which I managed to get 1.

About 35 minutes . Finally

GoldenPoppy · 31/03/2020 00:59

I put the shopping into the basket, then checked it out at 12.00.
Was done and dusted by 12.01.
Probably wont be so lucky 2 weeks from nowConfused

When do they release new home delivery slots does anyone know? After seeing this thread I logged on to try to get one for elderly relatives but got into the site it said 'no slots available".

Is it adhoc or is it done on a specific day/ specific time?

RoseGoldEagle · 31/03/2020 01:00

Logged in at 12.01 and just got through. No slots now.

Ostanovka · 31/03/2020 01:00

Checked out now. Aarghh going to be so tired tomorrow! But thankful in 3 weeks when I get the delivery.

jmh740 · 31/03/2020 01:04

Logged on just after 12 no slots available, had the letter from the nhs telling us not to go out but how else am I meant to feed everyone if I cant get a delivery? Feeling a bit anxious about it all now

If you or someone in the family are part of the shielded group you should be able to register with Sainsbury's to have your shopping delivered.

Mum2threejs · 31/03/2020 01:27

Took me 47 mins last night... just to find there was no slots. Asda has a queue system too but hasn’t been anywhere near as bad.

managedmis · 31/03/2020 01:50

Lord above

Wanderlust21 · 31/03/2020 01:56

I booked a slot and THEN it put me in a que! But by 12.40 I was back in the game. So 40 min for me.

Summer15coming · 31/03/2020 02:13

Just wanted to express my love and gratitude to all you lot!

I stumbled across this thread just now (2am) due to insomnia and thought I'd have a try myself. It took 5 minutes to get on, select a slot, put two bottles of gin in my basket, and then checkout! I'm shielding because of my daughter and I've been getting steadily more panicky about not being able to work out how I was going to get food.

I'll probably sleep fine now!

Purpleclownsuit · 31/03/2020 02:18

I started in the queue at 2355. It took me 45 mins to finally get through and all the new slots were gone. Thank fuck for ASDA though because although I kept getting booted back into the queue after trying to book a slot, when trying to add items, and at the point of checkout, I managed to get a slot for two weeks away.

Ginkypig
Thanks, We have registered but at the moment the website says they are waiting to identify all the highly vulnerable people

Ilikewinter · 31/03/2020 05:35

Love you all!, was wide awake at 2am, went onto Tescos for click and collect, got one for next Tuesday, currently have a cucumber in my basket but can update it until Monday. Feel so lucky not to have to stand in a supermarket queue!
